PREVIOUS
NOTES
These are generally made from 12mm, 15mm, or 18mm Birch plywood, with MDF or Birch plywood baffles. Usual choice of coverings, styles and pipings. Again, hand cut, assembled and wired. Drive units used are Celestion Century, Century Vintage, Blue, Vintage 30, 70/80, G12H, Classic Lead 80, Rocket 50. We aso use Eminence Loudspeakers who now offer a huge range of (very good) dedicated guitar speakers for particular rock applications if you can actually work out exactly which model is right for you (Red Fang, Screamin' Eagle, Private Jack, Swamp Thang, etc. etc... the mind boggles). FANE International now also offer some very good units. After exhaustive tests we have adopted the NEO magnet Celestion Century as our standard loudspeaker. Not the cheapest but fabulous sound, great efficiency, and light weight. (NB. The Celestion "Alnico Blue" speaker is also excellent but with only 15 Watts honest handling power it is is only suitable in multiples of four with our 50 watt unit - then consider the price - but what a sound...) Other popular cabs include: | ||
